Pilot notices |
Non-U.S. Pilots
flying in the U.S.
At minimum for foreign pilots to fly in the U.S., they will
need to hold an International Pilot Proficiency Identification
card (IPPI) card and contact USHPA (toll free: 800.616.6888,
direct: 719.632.8300 or fax: 719.632.6417) and obtain a 30-day
membership. If they want to actually receive a 'rating' from
USHPA, they will have to fill in a regular annual membership form
and pay the annual membership dues.

U.S. Pilots
flying abroad
IPPI card is sponsored by the Federation Aeronautic
International (FAI). This card is your universal pilot rating card
for the SafePro and ParaPro programs from the FAI and may be
necessary when flying overseas. The IPPI card is not a stand-alone
card, but is to be used in conjunction with your current
membership card. You must be a current USHPA member for USHPA to
issue an IPPI card to you.
